BCATH's Process and Current Programs
BCATH aims to address the distinctive needs of each family and individual participant in the program in order to assist them in reaching the highest level of independence and personal responsibility that they may achieve. BCATH’s clients earn below 30% of the Boulder County Area Median Income (AMI).
Clients benefit by receiving support services and below market rate rent (approximately $200 for a one bedroom and $400 for a two bedroom). In order to ensure sufficient time for our clients to build their emotional and financial resources, clients may stay in BCATH housing for up to two years and will not be charged more than 30% of their income for rent.
Case Managers are in contact with their clients on a weekly basis in order to assist them in developing and accomplishing an individualized case plan. Each plan allows a client to:
- Secure a stable housing arrangement,
- Move forward on the continuum toward self-sufficiency, and
- Have a safety net of resources in place to assist with any crisis or difficulty that may arise, along with the skill to access those resources.
Approximately 80% of residents moving out will transfer to a stable living environment and will not return to homelessness.
